So I'm sitting drinking a Diet Coke - I know, and the world didn't come to a crashing halt - but it was just too far to go down to the fridge and get a Pepsi - and my house is sort of slowly settling in on itself beneath me. My partner has shingles and looks human again after a few mildly frightening days of life with something from a SciFi movie. My father spent the evening lurking in his dungeon while we entertained upstairs, nobody wound up doing the Timewarp or anything, very sedate, but we missed our own Forrest Whitaker and hope to catch a glimpse of his knees and sporran sometime soon. I want to find me an Ellen Degeneres tuxedo to wear to the opera next weekend - have to do some webcrawling before we go to Vancouver. Speaking of feeling pretty and witty and - if you haven't read Scribegrrl and her takes on the LWord you've missed some funny stuff. Not all of it, but when she's on, she's verrry good.
Time for some new haiku: oh, the heck with it. Maybe tomorrow.

Waiting for my kilt,
Knees shake, anticipating,
Sporran grows dusty.
